Dr. Andrea is a native of Westchester County, New York and started her career as a special education teacher and administrator. She relocated to southeast Georgia and continued her classroom experience as an alternative school teacher and behavior interventionist. Dr. Andrea was inspired to pursue a lifelong dream of becoming a mental health counselor and brings extensive experience with adolescents, adult psychiatric, alcohol and drug addiction, grief, and trauma counseling. Dr. Andrea joined the Breakthroughs team 2025.
Her educational experiences include a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the City University of New York, Masters Degree in the Art of Teaching from Sarah Lawrence College in New York, a Doctorate in Education from St. John Fisher College in New York, and a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Kairos University in South Dakota.
Dr. Andrea provided acute care and crisis counseling, substance abuse counseling, child and adolescent behavior intervention, as well as group therapy, to participants within an acute care residential facility on St. Simons Island, Georgia. Dr. Andrea is also a dedicated and faithful Christian counselor excited to be serving in Nassau County, where she plans to serve for many years to come.
