Registered Marriage & Family Therapist Intern
Samantha is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern who is passionate about helping individuals and couples find healing, rebuild relationships, and move forward after difficult life experiences. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix and her master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Southeastern University. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Samantha’s passion for helping others began long before she pursued counseling professionally. Since 2001, she has served in various church and community roles, offering faith-based guidance, encouragement, and support to individuals and families navigating life’s challenges. These experiences, along with her background in real estate leadership and formal counseling education, have shaped her compassionate, genuine, and practical approach to therapy.
Samantha has a particular passion for working with individuals experiencing betrayal trauma, relationship difficulties, anxiety, grief, and major life transitions. She believes that people are not defined by their past experiences and that healing often involves understanding how those experiences continue to influence their thoughts, emotions, and relationships.
Her approach is compassionate, genuine, and direct. She strives to create a space where clients feel comfortable being honest about their struggles without fear of judgment. Drawing from EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and other therapeutic approaches, Samantha works collaboratively with clients to identify unhealthy patterns, process painful experiences, and develop healthier relationships with themselves and others.
Outside of counseling, Samantha enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her husband and their blended family. She values faith, family, and personal growth and believes that even life’s most difficult seasons can lead to meaningful change.
